Holiday Decorating Ideas for your Porch

Have you noticed as you drive through your neighborhood that some houses just invite you to visit? Their porch decor is warm and inviting. Why not take a look at your porch and plan what how you will decorate it this coming holiday season. Now is a good time to think ahead. It will be one less thing to worry about once the holidays are upon us and that time is not far away!

Wreaths
Do you want a whimsical jolly look on your porch? A more sophisticated chic look? A warm down home kind of feeling? The choice is yours. Even on a very limited budget you can get the look you want and make it inviting and interesting to those who see it. You can dyi or buy a wreath if you don't want to spend the time on it! Maybe you will want more than one.

Garland
Garlands can be decorated with cranberries, pine cones, faux flowers, twigs, walnuts sprayed gold, apples either plastic or edible, lemons, ribbon, etc... and hung around your door or on your porch banister, or spiraled or framing columns on your porch.

Topiaries & Trees
You can make a grand entrance at your front door with topiaries or trees. You can use all kinds of containers to make this happen. Tin containers or buckets sprayed painted green, cranberry color, black, or white could be filled with natural or color sprayed twigs, small pine trees or other dried flowers could be used. What about using out of the ordinary containers you have around your yard such as an old red wagon, a bike, weathered bench, etc..

Remember to add some lights maybe some candles and before you know it you will have the look you want and people will be noticing your warm and inviting porch!
